Notes

Making Crack Cake Recipe Without Wine
Most of the wine in this recipe is cooked off during the baking or as the syrup is prepared, leaving a delicate, floral taste. For a totally non alcoholic version of this cake, orange juice or white grape juice can be used instead of the wine.

I can’t believe you haven’t corrected the recipe for the missing egg step. I’ll never come back to this website again.

This is the best cake I’ve ever made and now my go to for family gatherings or potluck. If you want to impress someone, make this cake!!

I pour half of the white wine sauce into the cake once it comes out of the oven and use the second half to top each slice when ready to eat.

It comes out amazing every time.

Cake was amazing and easy to put together!
I did have a little trouble with the glaze in that the sugar to butter ratio caused a granularity. This may have been because I made it while the cake was cooking, it cooled and then I had to reheat it on the stove to get a liquid consistancy. I also cooked 5 minutes less than the directions but I have a really hot oven. Overall delicious and easy to follow! Thank you!
